The End

Hello guys! Today I'm going to talk about my experience learning English at university.

The truth is that I hate to feel pressured, and that is what I have experienced a lot in the last levels of English because we must be speaking and handling a lot of vocabulary, and I suffer from scenic panic and terrible memory.Even so, although at some point I felt frustrated with english, I lived a last good and pleasant experience now in fifth. Although it was difficult for me to attend, the teacher made everything a little simpler for me.
It is comical that for all the plans that I expounded on my blogs I need to speak English and I still do not get it, but at some point I will have to find myself with this language, in a moment of less personal stress.
I think that later I will continue practicing with the application "Duolingo" and with some friends that are handled in English and that can help me talking, which is what costs me the most. Meanwhile, I seriously need a vacation from all the mental pressure I've experienced the last couple of years in college and in life.
At least I know that I expanded my vocabulary much more, at least in reading, thing which I value very much. I hope that soon it will go into my head and I can communicate freely.
Many thanks to all who participated commenting on my blog. I'm happy to say goodbye at last. That's if I passed the exam ajjajaj.
Greetings to all and very happy holidays in February.

Ideal Study Programme

Hello guys!
Today I’m going to talk about my study programme and the series of changes that I would do it. Since already I am in the last year and I dealed almost all the subjects my evaluation is the following one:
1.- All subjects that relate to the Digital must begin to develop in the second year. This for the current work camp in this area, because second is one year with minor academic load and because it connects with the subjects of journalistic writing of this same period.
2.- It would diminish the quantity of obligatory "CFG" in the academic mesh. Can be of 5 to 3 because is sufficient.
3.- It would integrate subjects as politics, law y economy. Also it would add "Community management" as elective or "CFG" following the line of the digital subjects.
4.- I would like to let us choose the language with which we want to graduate from the university., because the idea is to be bilingual, not that English is compulsory. But for it maybe there would be necessary to construct a building species of languages for the campus. It anyhow would promote a major interaction.
5.- As for the formative line, it would reduce the subjects from 4 to 3 only making the first three courses, since the final is very reiterative.
I think these are the changes I would propose. I do not know if they agree with me on them.
Regards!

Freedom = Sleep, eat and go out!

Hello Guys!
This was a terrible day, seriously. Yesterday I was in a funeral all afternoon, reason why for today I accumulated thousand works and I lack hours. Really, really I need vacations and that's why I dream with them for a moment.
If I am not detained with any subject or “thesis”, at last I will be completely FREE from university, which will be a dream come true. I long for it too much
The first thing I will do is return to my house in San Felipe and sleep a hundred hours in a row. Then I will begin to recover the life I once had: I will go to visit my friends in different parts of the country, I will go out with them and my family, I will go to some Christian events, I will do several rehearsals with my band, I will watch too many movies and series, and maybe I will exercise. Okay, not that last one jajaj.
My plan is to give me at least three months of full rest dedicating myself to what I like. In the meantime, I will try to raise some money for then can pay the classes in a Christian organization for the next three months in Iquique or Pichilemu, I'm still thinking about it.
In any case, though I look like the most sluggish person of the world, I just know that after five years what I most want is to sleep and eat.

Dear Pilar

The person I admire the most would have to be my cousin Pilar. She’s basically my age, maybe a couple years older, and she’s one of the most hard working women I’ve ever met.
Having to go through a serious illness when she was only a teenager, she found strength in music when literally everything else was falling apart. She had to stay at home for nearly a year, no school or going out whatsoever, so she used that time to learn to play the piano and the guitar. While still recovering, she joined a local band and started a solo project as a composer of folk music. When she graduated high school, she decided to become a music teacher.
She worked to pay for college, and was an outstanding student in her class. Pressured by her family -my aunt and uncle- to pursue a career on classical music, she moved to a small town near Temuco to be a music teacher in one of the poorest schools of the area.
Today, she’s married and expecting her first baby. Whenever I talk to her, all I get is that she’s grateful for her life and for what she has, and to be honest, I don’t think I have other goals in life than to have what she has, and more important, to be the kind of person she is.

Travel, travel, travel

Hello guys, how did they wake up after the Chile vs Uruguay game?
Well, today I’m going to talk about postgradute courses I would like to take in the short or long term, and first I want to say that when I look at the themes of the week, I think I'm thinking very little about my future, really. Again I do not know what to say.
For now, I need some very good and long vacations when get out of the university. Then maybe I will go to Argentina to study at the Instituto Bíblico Río de la Plata (IBRP). The idea is to stay in the boarding school during some months of the year studying theology. If not, I would go to a School of Discipleship and Training in Chile known as EDE Jucum.

The truth is I want to forget completely the university in a time. This has been a very tiring year, but in two or three years I would like to devote to study well English while I devote myself to collaborate with my knowledge to some Christian organizations that already have asked for it me. There in forward I would like to have a work that allows me to travel infinitely for the world.
Maybe someday I will make some magíster or postdegree in photography or digital journalism.

Missions

Hello guys.
I'm still in shock because won Trump, they feel like me? Just I can say OMG! Everything will be uncertain from now on.

Returning to the subject, today I’m going to talk about my future work. Again I don’t know, but I have some ideas.

Let's start because I'm a Christian and my priority is not money honestly. Maybe I will go to the missions on other countries to collaborate as a journalist in christian organizations, for example in OM, Africa Mission, Movida, Provision, etc. The truth is in several countries of Africa and Asia are killing many Christians just for their faith and I want to tell people about this because is relevant for us and the humanity.
On the other hand, maybe I’m going to work in 24horas.cl because I fell in love with this space where I did my practice, and from there I could collaborate with money for the global missions or I could travel to other countries freely. Also I would like to be employed at the communications of a hospital because always I have liked it the medicine.
What yes I have insurance it is that I will take a time of rest on having gone out of the university. I need this.
What will you do?

Music, music, music..!

Good morning classmates!

Today, I will talk about my favorite type of music, but really I do not know what is jajaja. I am a indecisive person in almost everything. For example, lately I have been hearing to Juan Gabriel, Mario Guerrero and Ha-Ash (romantic singers), but is just for little time because I get bored listening always the same songs.
I think that my favorite music depend of my mood. Sometimes I want hear classical music or cuecas, other times I prefer salsa, ballads, cumbia, pop, rock, etc. What is certain is that I like songs that speak about God because I am a Christian person.

All this is rare because I play several instruments, I sing in my church and in other activities, I hear music everyday anywhere, and because always I loved the music. I do not understand, but if can live with this jeje.Maybe it is easier to point the rhythms that I do not like, for example the reggaeton or the
thrash metal that bothers me for the noise. I think they are rhythms without real musical sense, but is just my opinion.

And you, what is your favorite type of music?

Doggis..Ñam

Hello everybody!

Today I want to tell that my favourite place to eat is definitelly “Doggis”. ¿Why? Not because it has the best food or attractive spaces, but because is cheap and is all around. In all the cities I go there Doggis, which is fantastic when you have little money and too hungry. Also, I can access other promotions with subway ballots.

I have a habit of always buying a “Doggicombo 2” consisting of a hot dog, a drink and medium fries. Almost always I choose a delicious hot dog named "Dinámico". This consists of avocado, tomato, green salse, chucrut, mayonnaise and and thousands of sauces! Speaking seriously I love the extra sauces they offer. For example there of garlic, tartar, cheese, BBQ, ketchup, mustard and more.

I know that many people do not like for health issues or whatever, but If I get a "downer," I know where to go, in fact, now I made me want to go. The only thing I dislike of Doggis is that pay little to workers and they work so much.

And you, what is your favourite place to eat?

Madonna

Without a doubt, the best concert I’ve ever atended was Madonna at Estadio Nacional. This was 4 years ago, on December 19th. We had to wait in line for at least 3 hours before even entering the arena. It was summer, yes, but around 1 hour into the waiting it started raining. All the glamour was left behind when we had to start wearing these plastic bags as ponchos and all our Madonna merchandising was soaking wet. It was already getting dark when we were allowed to enter the stadium and were able to sit.
The star of the show was around 2 hours late, but the show itself was amazing. She was the boss of that enormous stage, moving dancers, decorations and the band all over the place when she needed it. Maybe it was actually seeing the queen of pop on stage, maybe it was the fact that I grew up listening to this songs, but in the end, soaking wet, probably getting a cold and with a blue plastic bag as a dress, it was worth the wait.

Caranavi, Bolivia

Hello, how are you?

Today I’m going to talk about a place I want to go maybe in the summer, in February exactly. Is a town of Bolivia called Caranavi. It is located north of La Paz, has 50.000 inhabitants and is known as a coffee capital.

There is a dining room of very poor children where they arrive for before go to the night school. These children are very young, and many of them work to feed their brothers more small yet. For them it is normal this reality, but we know not.

What is my idea? Just accompany and help to the kids in their day activities, for example making some classes, clown shows, serving tables, cooking, singing with they and my guitar, delivering clothes, etc.

It's not such a nice place, but I think that I can do something minimal. For now I have to start collecting money to go.

That's what I can say. Thanks for your attention.

"Doña Lucía"

Today I’m going to talk about “Doña Lucía, the unauthorized biography” written by journalist Alejandra Matus, who also wrote "The black book of Chilean Justice".
This book tells the story of the wife of Augusto Pinochet, the Chilean dictator. According to this book she was the brain of many actions of the Pinochet, she and her profound evil became to the General in a dictator, and she planned horrible things for the citizens in our country.

Here we can find many stories that tell us of character of Lucía Hiriart, of her thoughts and aspirations, of her important origin that was overshadowed by her husband at the beginning of their marriage, of her hate for be mother and housewife, of his desire to get into everything, of his tens of ill-gotten properties and much more.
“Doña Lucía” made me think that she should be in jail now but the actions were carried out by Pinochet and not by her. On the other hand, there are roles that continue disappeared.

However, really she was and is a bad person but of course, I don't think this is an excuse for the dictator.
Read it, it’s an excellent book for think and it's in the our library.

Audiovisual Guion

Hello everyone!
Today I’m going to talk about a subject that I enjoyed this semester.
Although I haven’t had many classes for the strike, I think that Audiovisual Guion was very funny because the teacher we did see the cinema with others eyes, very different of the ordinary.
The name of my teacher is David Vera-Meiggs and he is a relevant critic of cinema in Chile and I think that of our continent. He know so much about films and their constructions because he studied in Europa in a time very particular of the world history. Is not that he is so old, but the context was particular and he learnt to discover the similarities between stories around the world.

The issue is that his classes tell us about new perspectives and new forms of see and tell stories, that finally not is real if we come back to the past. I think that it’s something a little strange obviously, but funny jeje.
Unfortunately we can’t write anything for the strike, but we hope to find a good story to tell later.

Well, until next time !

MOM

Hello!
I’m going to talk about an expert on my field and, I think this person can be María Olivia Mönckeberg of course!
She is a journalist and chilean author with many years of career in this area. Furthermore she is director of my Communication School.
She is famous because she is one of the greatest proponents of investigative journalism in Latin America and the world. Her books are well known in the media and the librarys because are dedicated to topics of education, economy, personages and others relevant topics for our country in this moment.

Some of the most important titles that she wrote and that I remember are: The Universities business in Chile, The looting of the economic groups to Chilean state, The media tycoons, Profit-seeking, etc.Out of all this, although I don't really like, I think she is a genius and for this reason she has got some awards how: the Louis Lyon National Journalism Award, or the National Journalism Award in Chile. Furthermore, she has been nominated for two Altazor awards, what is incredible honestly.

The movies in my life

Hello everyone!
Immediately I tell them that I prefer movies.
The movies are a essencial part on my life. I do not have much time, but if I can view them on my day, I just do it.

My favourite movies are of the drama but, I do not think that these represent moments in my life as such, probably it is got to do with my personality or with my thought about of live.
I remember that the movie “Freedom writers”, made me reflect much in themes about the racism, the resilience, the self-motivation and other social topics. On the other hand is the movie “The boy in the striped pyjamas”, that speaks about similar themes in different scenes.

All this, made me think in the life and in the social memory, because both movies are real life stories. I think that are some things that cannot be forgotten for build a best future.
And you, what do you think about this?

A photo with my family

Hello classmates!
This topic is complex for me, because usually I photograph everything and because I have many photografies that could be my favourites.
I think maybe could be a capture with my family in a party, in a church or in my house. Why? They are the most important people in my life but I see them very little, which causes me some nostalgia in this moment.
Well, now that I think, I remember a photo where we cuddled outside of a church, when my parents were more young, and my brother and me were children.
Unfortunately, I can’t show them because it's in the bible of my dad, in San Felipe. I only know that reflect very good our family love, reducing distances.
Even so I want to show you a current photography with them, that I hope that amuses them!! ;)

About my dogs, one is called “Balto” for the animate film and the other is called “Tzabalala” for a southafrican football player. Always they receive me with so much joy when I return to my city. They are the best company.
The truth is that I wish around the world could experience the tender love of the pets in their lifes, is amazing!

Today I tell you about my favorite piece of technology and, without thinking too much, I think it's the cellphone.
Five years ago I have a Smartphone and really makes my life so much easier and happy.

I think it is good especially for us who are dedicated to journalism and we must live connected. Now, I can not imagine muy life without a cellpgone, I use it everytime.
And you, what is your favorite piece of technology?

Notes about my life

My name is Luz Elizabeth Araya Pastén. I was born in 1993, in Los Andes. Actually, I live in San Felipe with my parents and my brother, but travel to Santiago every week because I am studying here.
I am a student of journalism at Universidad de Chile five years ago. Also, I am a leader of a christian corporation in Chile four years ago. There I work with youngsters throughout the country.
I like music and sing, playing the guitar, go to the church, sleeping, travel for Chile, playing volleyball, and others.
I think that is all about my life.
